NTPC Ltd today signed an agreement with Karnataka Chinmaya Sewa Trust for developing Neuro Operation Theatre with Equipment at Chinmaya Mission Hospital, Bengaluru. The Trust supports programs in Healthcare, Education, Women Empowerment, preserving Indian Culture, Eco-friendly projects, etc The activities by the Trust benefit the people for their social, economic, cultural and medical requirements.
The agreement, which was signed today at NTPC SRHQ, Hyderabad had Sri. Debasish Chattopadhyay, Regional Executive Director(South) signing on behalf of NTPC Ltd and Shri Manohara Pai C, Chief Administrator, Karnataka Seva Trust on behalf of Chinmaya Seva Trust.
As part of the agreement NTPC will provide financial assistance for installment of equipment and construction/refurbishment of Neurosurgery Operation Theatre.
The Chinmaya Mission Hospital is a 250 bedded fully functional multispecialty hospital and caters to 800 to 1000 patients daily. The proposed activity under NTPC CSR will benefit the community and enhance the medical facilities in Chinmaya Mission Hospital and also to develop the Neurosurgery OT with equipment so that the patient receives immediate treatment and necessary care at the Hospital benefitting the community at a large.


Shri S.N Panigrahi, GM(HR) who was present on the occasion stated that NTPC had a strong CSR policy and health being one of the major initiatives this agreement will help in benefitting the community by providing them accessible quality healthcare.
